La Escuelita San Marcos

The mission of La Escuelita San Marcos is to prepare Spanish-speaking children of low-income families to thrive in education systems, develop necessary social skills and nurture life skills so they are successful in school and beyond. This bilingual preschool is a collaborative effort of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and Hopewell Presbyterian Church, and is located at Hopewell Presbyterian's Education Building. 10500 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntersville, NC 28078. For more information, visit the La Escuelita website or contact director Jama Fleming.

Ranson IB Middle School

St. Mark's has been a community party with Ranson IB Middle School for over 15 years. We offer assistance for basic needs such as clothing, weekend food backpacks and school supplies. We help provide enrichment experiences for scholars in the form of summer camp, as well as exposure to museums, sporting events and performances. We also support the teachers and staff in various ways throughout the year. If you would like additional information on ways you can become involved with Ranson IB Middle School please contact Malinda Bivens

Flyin' Lion Transition to Employment

A new ministry coming soon to St. Mark's. Flyin' Lion will work with women who have previously faced domestic violence and abuse to train them for a career in the service industry. With an industrial grade kitchen, certified food-safe handling classes, and interview prep courses, we are excited for the impact this ministry will have for our neighbors.

What we do...

The Outreach team focuses their volunteer energies on serving the broader community beyond St. Mark's. Often, we team up with other non-profits and churches. View the organizations and places we volunteer to the left on this page. Contact Malinda Bivens to get involved.
